Wind Power at Chelsea Piers


The Chelsea Piers sports and entertainment complex along the Hudson River is New York City s largest commercial user of 100 percent wind power according to the Environmental Protection Agency Since October the complex has been purchasing wind energy in an amount equal to the entire electricity usage of its 28-acre 1-million-square-foot property through ConEdison Solutions a supplier of clean and renewable energy
