New Energy Policy Plan


North Dakota has a new plan in place to become a major energy supplier The Empower North Dakota commission made up of forty energy groups has been meeting since last September They have outlined ten areas where the state needs to work on to improve its energy production Some of the areas include increasing the wind generation in the state to fifteen hundred megawatts by 2020 Also build one possibly more clean-coal energy generation plants A big part of the plan is to increase the states export capacity to four thousand megawatts Shane Goettle ND Dept of Commerce The goals set targets for us to define success both in the short term and the long term And there is going to be more discussion on these The recommendations will now go to the legislative interim committee for their consideration
